Business premises: 7,200 sqm
Sales office etampa Inc., Libertyville, Illinois/USA
Business activities etampa is a leading company in the international stamping and fineblanking sector. On 7,200 sqm of factory space, etampa operates lean engineering and high-performance toolmaking facilities and an ultra-modern production plant.
Industries Most of the customers are based in the automotive, electronics/electrical engineering, construction and medical/safety technology industries.
Typical applications

We produce highly-complex fineblanked and stamped parts to our customer's precise requirements. Our parts almost always play a mission-critical, safety-relevant role in the final product. This applies not only to vehicle brake/safety systems and electric motor components but also to instruments used in medical technology, household appliances or lifestyle products such as toothbrushes, shavers or furniture fittings.

Technologies

Depending on drawing specifications, post-press finishing may be necessary for parts manufactured by fineblanking or stamping. Most punched parts will require deburring after production. Processes such as vibratory finishing or belt grinding, brushing and chemical deburring are applied; in addition, etampa can use technologies such as ball burnishing, disc grinding or double column surface grinding, electrochemical polishing or flat honing.

Any heat treatments or surface coatings required are conducted by certified technology partners working under the supervision of etampa personnel.

Machinery/materials etampa uses fineblanking presses, high-speed presses and stamping presses. While stamping is applied to materials that are 0.1 mm to 4 mm thick, fineblanking can be used for thicknesses of 0.5 to 6 mm. The materials used for both stamping and fineblanking are steel and stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, aluminium and titanium.
